ntl partners with Mitel to deliver advanced IP solutions
- Delivering reliable and cost effective IP solutions to
corporate and public sector customers
- Working with Bailey Teswaine to provide expert maintenance
support
- Helping organisations migrate to next generation networking
technology.
27, July 2005 - ntl business, a leading provider of business
communications services, is building on its IP heritage through a
partnership with leading IP solutions provider, Mitel. ntl will use
Mitel's advanced IP PBX portfolio to deliver IP telephony solutions
to corporate and public sector customers.
Combining ntl's network expertise with Mitel's portfolio of IP
communications solutions and Bailey Teswaine's support capability,
the relationship will enable ntl to deliver a cost effective and
low risk migration path for organisations looking to upgrade to IP
telephony. The solutions can be easily integrated with existing
infrastructure and other vendor equipment to help minimise initial
implementation costs and business interruption.
In addition to providing single-site IP telephony installations,
ntl will enable its customers to develop multi-site IP VPNs by
linking disparate offices with ntl's Ethernet and MPLS VPN
networking solutions. Key user benefits will include reduced costs
through convergence of voice and data over the same network and a
range of advanced applications such as Unified Messaging,
collaboration and conferencing, and remote access for home
workers.
ntl will work with Bailey Teswaine to provide special
maintenance support for the Mitel's product portfolio and ensure
stringent SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are in place to guarantee
the smooth running of the solution.
Tony Harris, Managing Director, ntl Business commented: "In
response to strong market demand, we are expanding our IP telephony
portfolio to offer greater flexibility and value for our customers.
Through our partnership with Mitel we will enable more users to
upgrade to IP telephony by simplifying the migration process and
reducing the costs and risk of deployment. We have a proven track
record in delivering advanced convergence solutions and believe
combining the strength of our network with Mitel's and Bailey's
expertise is a strong proposition for our customers."
Graham Bevingtion, Managing Director, Mitel Networks EMEA,
added: "Mitel's IP Communications portfolio addresses customers'
needs for a cost-effective, best in class telecommunications
solution. Through this agreement we will work with ntl to help its
customers migrate to a next generation solution and maximise the
benefits of IP technology."
