Higher and further education needs

To ensure the safety of its 25,000 students, the University of Central England in Birmingham has invested in a high speed CCTV communication network from ntl:Telewest Business. The move has ensured that the university is able to put in place a centralised security policy for fighting crime across its multiple sites in Birmingham.

Through a student satisfaction survey, students at UCE Birmingham have already reported a downturn in crime in the early phases since the new CCTV services went live.

The Universities of Southampton and Surrey were among the first universities to benefit from ntl:Telewest Business' ‘Connect.ed’ campus student services package.
